Key Features
- Optic-Ready Slide – Factory-milled to accept miniature red dot sights without adapter plates. Why it matters: you mount your optic directly to the slide for lower bore axis and faster target transitions.
- Ambidextrous Slide Stop and Magazine Release – Both sides of the frame have controls. Why it matters: lefties or weak-hand shooters don’t have to break their grip to manipulate the gun.
- Modular Grip System – Three interchangeable backstraps and three side panels customize the palm swell and trigger reach. Why it matters: a handgun that fits your hand delivers more consistent trigger pulls and better accuracy.
- Extended 4.5-Inch Barrel – Longer than the standard VP9 barrel, giving a sight radius advantage and slightly higher muzzle velocity. Why it matters: you get improved accuracy at distance and a flatter-shooting 9mm.
- Aggressive Slide Serrations – Front and rear serrations provide positive traction. Why it matters: press checks and slide manipulation stay secure even with sweaty or gloved hands.
Who It’s For
This pistol is built for the shooter who wants a duty-size 9mm that’s optics-ready out of the box. It suits competition shooters, law enforcement officers, and serious civilian defenders who train regularly. If you’ve outgrown compact guns and want a full-frame platform with a proven track record, this is your next sidearm.
Pros & Cons

- Con: Holster selection is more limited than Glock 17 or Sig P320 – you may need to order dedicated VP9F holsters.

The slide is milled for the RMR footprint and also accepts Holosun 407C/507C/507K and Trijicon RMR/SRO directly. No adapter plate needed.
Is the VP9A1 F California-legal?
Currently, the VP9A1 F is not on the California Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale. It is not available for shipment to California addresses.
Can I use standard VP9 holsters with the F model?
