The FRT-RD3™ (SEF) Two-Stage (3-Position) Forced Reset Trigger is a direct replacement for your factory SEF trigger pack. It uses a two-stage forced reset mechanism that returns the trigger forward immediately after each shot, allowing the shooter to manage the reset point with precision. You get three positions: safe, semi-automatic, and a forced-reset mode that cycles the trigger forward under spring tension. Unlike standard single-stage FR triggers, this two-stage design gives you a distinct take-up wall before the break, which helps reduce unintentional doubles in rapid fire. It is built from heat-treated steel components with a nickel-Teflon coated hammer and trigger for smooth, consistent pull weights. The housing is compatible with any standard SEF lower and requires no permanent modification to your firearm.

The FRT-RD3™ (SEF) uses a proprietary two-stage sear engagement that differs from standard AR-15 FR triggers. The first stage provides approximately 2.5 pounds of take-up, followed by a 4.5-pound break. After the shot, the trigger is forced forward by the bolt carrier group’s travel, resetting the two-stage engagement automatically. This design reduces the learning curve compared to single-stage forced reset triggers, making it more intuitive for shooters who are new to the forced-reset concept. The hammer is machined from 4140 steel and coated with nickel-Teflon for corrosion resistance and reduced friction. All internal pins are captured and retained by the housing, so there are no loose parts to lose during installation.
