- Enhanced Beavertail — The frame rises higher behind the slide to protect your hand from slide bite. Why it matters: You can grip high and tight without worrying about getting pinched, which improves recoil control.
- 360-Degree Grip Texture — Aggressive stippling wraps all around the grip, including the front strap, backstrap, and sides. Why it matters: Sweaty hands or wet conditions won’t break your hold — it stays planted.
- Serrated Slide, Black Nitride — Front and rear serrations give you positive purchase for press checks or slide manipulations. Why it matters: You can clear malfunctions or chamber a round with confidence, even with gloves on.
Who It’s For
This ZRODELTA FKS-9 is for the new shooter who wants a reliable carry pistol without a premium price tag, and for the training student who needs a durable range gun that won’t break the bank. If you’re building your first handgun setup or adding a solid backup to your rotation, this fits the bill. Pros and Cons
Pros: Affordable price ($349.99), match-grade accuracy, Black Nitride corrosion resistance, ergonomic grip angle, strong texture for wet hands, 15+1 capacity, and serrated slide for easy manipulation.
Cons: The trigger pull weight is on the heavier side (per manufacturer specs, around 6-7 lbs), which may require a break-in period or an aftermarket upgrade for competition shooters. Also, the aftermarket support for holsters and parts is still growing compared to Glock or S&W.

FAQ
Is the ZRODELTA FKS-9 compatible with Glock holsters and magazines?
The FKS-9 uses a proprietary frame design, so standard Glock holsters may not fit. However, it accepts common double-stack 9mm magazines (check manufacturer compatibility). Per ZRODELTA specs, the pistol is designed to work with specific aftermarket holsters, so confirm fit before buying.
What is the trigger pull weight on this pistol?
Per ZRODELTA specifications, the factory trigger pull is approximately 6-7 lbs. It’s a duty-grade pull that breaks clean but is heavier than competition triggers. Some shooters find it smooths out after a few hundred rounds.
Can I mount a red dot on the FKS-9?
The standard FKS-9 slide is not optics-ready out of the box. You’ll need to send the slide to a machine shop for milling if you want to mount a red dot. ZRODELTA may offer an optics-ready version in the future, so check current listings.
How does the Black Nitride finish compare to Cerakote?
Black Nitride is a surface treatment that penetrates the metal, making it harder and more corrosion-resistant than Cerakote, which is a coating. Nitride won’t chip or peel, but it doesn’t offer color customization. For a carry gun, Nitride is tougher.
What is the warranty on the ZRODELTA FKS-9?
ZRODELTA offers a limited lifetime warranty on the firearm against manufacturing defects. Contact their customer service for specific terms. Most issues are covered, but normal wear and tear is not.
