Cal. 38 RF. S# 1076. Bbl. 4 1/2″ oct. w/out ejector. 5 Shot rebated roll engraved cyl. w/ stage coach scene roll engraving. Silver finished brass backstrap & trigger guard. 1 Piece walnut grip. Estimated quantity of 2,000 believed converted from percussion revolvers. Mfg. 1873-1875. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: leather holster, back is marked “1954 / 3 1/2”. Holster shows wear w/ some loose stitching. CONDITION: metal finish has faded to gray showing scattered pitting & light handling marks. Cyl. retains 50% scene. Grips have cleaned appearance w/ faint traces of silver finish. Grips have added varnish over scattered scratches & sm. dents. Good mechanics. Bore retains intact rifling showing some pitting.
