Key Features
- 5-inch Match-Grade Barrel – WHY IT MATTERS: You get sub-2-inch accuracy at 25 yards, making this a legitimate bullseye contender straight out of the box.
- Color Case-Hardened Steel Frame – WHY IT MATTERS: This isn’t a Cerakote job—it’s a traditional heat-treat finish that resists holster wear and gives each gun a unique, vintage look.
- Blued Serrated Slide – WHY IT MATTERS: The serrations run full-length front and rear, giving you positive purchase for press checks or slide manipulations in wet or gloved conditions.
- Beavertail Grip Safety – WHY IT MATTERS: Prevents hammer bite and ensures a high, comfortable grip for consistent recoil control, especially with hot .45 loads.
- Walnut Grips – WHY IT MATTERS: Double-diamond checkering provides a tactile surface without being abrasive, so you can shoot all day without irritation.
Who It's For
This is for the shooter who wants a production-spec 1911 with custom-level details—no wait times, no gunsmith fees. It’s built for range days, IDPA matches, or as a foundation for your own upgrades. If you value traditional finishing like color case-hardening over modern coatings, this one’s for you.
Pros & Cons
- Pro: The match-grade barrel is hand-fitted to the slide, delivering tighter lockup than most sub-$2,000 1911s.
- Pro: The color case-hardened frame is genuinely durable—per Tyler Gun Works specs, it’s harder than standard blued steel and more resistant to corrosion.
- Con: The 7-round magazine capacity is standard for 1911s, but you’ll need to carry spare mags or swap to 8-rounders for extended range sessions.
