Key Features
- 3.26-inch stainless barrel — Why it matters: This length balances accuracy with concealability, giving you a solid sight radius without printing under a T-shirt.
- Striker-fired trigger system — Why it matters: Consistent, repeatable trigger pull every time, with a short reset that helps you stay on target for follow-up shots.
- Integral accessory rail — Why it matters: Mount a light or laser for low-light defense without needing aftermarket adapters.
- Matte stainless slide — Why it matters: Resists corrosion from sweat and humidity better than blued finishes, ideal for daily carry in all climates.
- Compact polymer frame — Why it matters: Keeps weight down to 22 ounces unloaded, so you can carry all day without fatigue.
Who It’s For
This Taurus G3C is for the new gun owner looking for an affordable, reliable compact for concealed carry. It also fits experienced shooters who want a backup piece or a truck gun that won’t break the bank. Families and first-time buyers will appreciate the straightforward controls and manageable recoil.
Pros & Cons
- Pros: Affordable price point, reliable feeding out of the box, easy to disassemble for cleaning, 12+1 capacity standard, and a comfortable grip texture.
- Cons: The trigger has a bit of take-up before the break — not a dealbreaker for defense, but competition shooters may prefer a lighter pull.

FAQ
What capacity magazines does the Taurus G3C come with?
It ships with two 12-round magazines standard. Extended 15-round and 17-round mags are available separately from Taurus.
Is the Taurus G3C suitable for left-handed shooters?
Yes. The slide stop and magazine release are ambidextrous-friendly, though the manual safety is on the left side only. Many lefties run it without the safety engaged.
Does the Taurus G3C fit most holsters?
It fits many compact 9mm holsters designed for the G2C or G3 series, but I recommend using a holster specifically molded for the G3C to ensure proper retention and trigger guard coverage.
Is the stainless slide easy to maintain?
Yes. The matte stainless finish resists rust and is easy to wipe clean with a light oil after range sessions.
What is the trigger pull weight on the G3C?
Per Taurus specs, the trigger pull is approximately 5.5 to 6.5 pounds, measured from the factory.
