Key Features
- Compact 10mm Auto Chambering — why it matters: You get full-power 10mm ballistics in a frame that conceals easily under a jacket or IWB holster, giving you stopping power without the bulk of a full-size duty gun.
- Manual Thumb Safety (F Configuration) — why it matters: This safety lets you carry cocked and locked with one in the chamber, a setup many shooters prefer for consistent trigger pull and added security during reholstering.
- Serrated Steel Slide — why it matters: The aggressive serrations provide a positive grip for press checks or slide manipulation, even with sweaty or gloved hands, so you maintain control in high-stress situations.
- Compact Polymer Frame — why it matters: The reduced grip circumference and shorter barrel length make this pistol easier to carry AIWB or strong-side, reducing printing and improving comfort during all-day wear.
- Single Magazine Included — why it matters: You get one factory magazine to start; we recommend picking up spares for range sessions or backup carry, as 10mm mags are less common than 9mm.
Who It's For
This pistol is built for the shooter who wants a 10mm Auto for concealed carry but doesn't want to lug around a full-size 1911 or Glock 20. It fits law enforcement officers looking for a backup gun with serious punch, outdoor enthusiasts who need bear-defense in a packable package, and shooters who prefer a manual safety on their carry gun for an extra layer of security. If you already run a full-size Tanfoglio or CZ-75 variant, this compact version shares similar ergonomics and controls.
Pros / Cons
Pros: Compact enough for daily carry; proven Tanfoglio reliability; manual safety adds peace of mind; 10mm Auto offers excellent terminal ballistics; steel slide soaks up recoil.
Cons: The included single magazine is stingy for a new gun — you'll want at least two more for the range. Also, the compact grip can feel short for larger hands, especially with full-power 10mm loads. Per Tanfoglio specs, the trigger pull is around 6-7 lbs, which may feel heavy compared to aftermarket triggers.

FAQ
What magazines fit the Tanfoglio Force P Compact F 10mm?
This pistol uses Tanfoglio small-frame 10mm magazines. The included magazine holds 10 rounds. Mec-Gar and factory Tanfoglio 10-round mags are compatible; aftermarket options are limited. We stock spare mags in our Magazines section.
Is the Tanfoglio Force P Compact F 10mm reliable for self-defense?
Yes. Tanfoglio has a solid reputation for reliability, and the Force P line is built on their proven CZ-75 pattern action. The compact 10mm version cycles full-power loads like Underwood and Buffalo Bore without issues. We recommend a 200-round break-in with FMJ before carrying defensive ammo.
How does the manual safety work on this pistol?
The F-configuration safety is a frame-mounted thumb safety that locks the sear when engaged. You can carry cocked and locked (hammer back, safety on) or hammer down with safety off. The safety is ambidextrous and positive in engagement, with an audible click when engaged.
Can I use 10mm Auto +P or +P+ ammunition in this pistol?
Tanfoglio does not specifically rate the Force P Compact for +P or +P+ loads. Stick with SAAMI-spec 10mm Auto ammunition. For defensive use, standard-pressure 10mm hollow points like Federal HST or Hornady Critical Duty work well. Over-pressure loads may accelerate wear on the compact frame.
What holsters fit the Tanfoglio Force P Compact F 10mm?
This pistol fits holsters designed for the Tanfoglio Force Compact or CZ-75 Compact with similar dimensions. We recommend kydex IWB holsters from brands like Alien Gear or CrossBreed. Check our Holsters category for compatible options.
