Key Features
- Integral compensator — Built into the slide, it reduces muzzle rise by redirecting gas, helping you stay on target during rapid fire. Why it matters: less flip means faster follow-ups, especially for new shooters or smaller-framed carriers.
- Factory-mounted Viridian RFX11 green dot — Ships zeroed and ready from Springfield. Why it matters: no extra mounting cost or hassle, and green dots are easier to pick up in bright daylight than red.
- Gear Pac package — Includes three 15-round magazines, a Viridian RFX11 optic, and a padded pistol bag. Why it matters: you get everything needed for range trips or daily carry without buying extras.
- Adaptive grip texture — A mix of coarse and fine stippling that grabs your hand without digging in. Why it matters: keeps the pistol planted during recoil, even with sweaty or gloved hands.
- Full-length guide rod recoil system — Standard on the Pro Comp model, it smooths out the slide cycle. Why it matters: reduces felt recoil and extends service life compared to captured guide rods.
Who It's For
This pistol is for anyone who wants an EDC 9mm with a compensator and red dot already installed. It fits new gun owners looking for a no-fuss setup, experienced carriers wanting a flat-shooting compact, and anyone who values factory reliability over aftermarket tinkering.
Pros & Cons
- Pro: Integral compensator works without changing barrel length or holster fit.
- Pro: Gear Pac value — the RFX11 alone costs over $200 retail.
- Pro: 15-round capacity in a slim, concealable frame.
- Con: The compensator adds a bit more muzzle blast and noise at the range — not ideal for indoor lanes without ear pro.

FAQ
What magazines does the Hellcat Pro Comp OSP use?
It uses standard Hellcat Pro 15-round magazines. The Gear Pac includes three of them, and they are interchangeable with other Hellcat Pro models.
Is the Viridian RFX11 optic removable or replaceable?
Yes, the RFX11 mounts to the slide using a standard RMSc footprint. You can remove it with a small screwdriver and swap in another RMSc-compatible dot if you prefer.
Does the compensator affect reliability with defensive ammo?
Per Springfield Armory specs, the integral comp is tuned for 115- to 147-grain loads, including hollow points. I’ve run a few boxes of Federal HST 124-grain through it with zero issues.
Will standard Hellcat holsters fit the Pro Comp model?
Most holsters made for the Hellcat Pro (non-comp) will work, but the comp adds about 0.4 inches to the slide length. Check that your holster is open-ended or made for the Pro Comp specifically.
What is the warranty on this pistol?
Springfield Armory covers the Hellcat Pro Comp OSP with a limited lifetime warranty for the original owner. Register online after purchase.
