Key Features
- AXG Aluminum Grip Module — This is a full-size grip on a compact frame. The aluminum frame gives you a solid, low-bore-axis hold that tracks flatter during rapid fire. It also accepts standard P365 grip panels so you can customize the feel.
- Factory-Compensated Slide — The slide has an integrated compensator cut that vents gas upward. Why it matters: it reduces muzzle rise noticeably, letting you get back on target faster without adding a bulky add-on comp.
- Romeo-X Compact Red Dot (Included) — This is a factory-installed, motion-activated dot with a 3 MOA dot and a top-load battery. Why it matters: you don't need to buy an optic separately or have it mounted — it's ready to zero and carry right out of the box.
- XRAY3 Day/Night Sights — These tritium front and rear sights are visible in any light and co-witness through the Romeo-X window. Why it matters: if your dot fails, you still have a reliable iron sight picture without removing the optic.
- 17+1 Round Capacity — With the included 17-round magazine, this P365 holds as many rounds as most full-size duty pistols. Why it matters: you get a compact carry gun that doesn't compromise on firepower.
Who It's For
This pistol is for the everyday carrier who wants a metal-framed, optic-ready 9mm that's easy to conceal but shoots like a larger gun. It's also a strong choice for new gun owners who want a reliable, low-recoil carry option with a red dot already installed. If you're a local shooter looking to step up from a polymer compact, the AXG Legion gives you an all-metal feel with the P365's proven reliability.
Pros and Cons
- Pro: The aluminum grip module improves recoil control and feels more stable than polymer frames. Con: The metal frame adds weight — at 20.5 ounces, it's heavier than a standard P365 (17.8 ounces). That extra weight is noticeable if you carry in lightweight shorts or a t-shirt.
- Pro: The factory-compensated slide works without a threaded barrel or extra parts. Con: The compensator ports can collect carbon buildup, so you'll need to clean the slide face more often than a standard barrel.
- Pro: The Romeo-X is a high-quality, motion-activated dot with a clear glass. Con: The battery is top-loading, but you do need to remove the optic to replace it — it's not a side-load like some competitors.

FAQ
Does the SIG SAUER P365 AXG LEGION come with the Romeo-X red dot installed?
Yes. The pistol ships with the Romeo-X compact red dot already mounted on the slide. It's factory-installed and ready to zero. You'll also get the XRAY3 iron sights that co-witness through the optic window.
What holsters are compatible with the P365 AXG Legion?
Because the AXG grip module is slightly wider than a standard P365, it fits best in holsters designed for the P365 AXG or P365 with a manual safety. Many holster makers like Vedder, Tier 1 Concealed, and BlackPoint Tactical offer AXG-specific options. Always check the holster's fit notes before ordering.
Can I use standard P365 magazines in the AXG Legion?
Yes. The AXG grip module accepts all P365 magazines, including the standard 10-round, 12-round, 15-round, and the included 17-round magazine. The 17-rounder has a slightly extended basepad for a full grip.
Is the compensator on the P365 AXG Legion removable?
No. The compensator ports are machined into the slide itself — it's not a bolt-on compensator. That means you can't remove it, but it also means no extra parts to loosen or lose. It's a permanent feature of the slide.
