Key Features
- Factory-Mounted Holosun 507K — Why it matters: You get a proven, durable red dot sight already installed and zeroed, saving you the hassle of buying and mounting an optic separately.
- Compensated Barrel with Spiral Fluting — Why it matters: The integrated compensator reduces muzzle rise and felt recoil, letting you keep your sights on target for faster follow-up shots.
- War Poet Slide Machining — Why it matters: The unique serrations and cuts give you positive purchase for press checks and slide manipulations, even with sweaty or gloved hands.
- Flat-Face Aluminum Trigger — Why it matters: The crisp, consistent break and short reset make accurate shooting easier, especially for newer shooters or those with smaller hands.
- Compact CR920 Platform — Why it matters: At just over 6 inches long and 1 inch wide, it conceals easily under a T-shirt or light jacket while still holding 13+1 rounds.
Who It's For
This pistol is built for anyone who wants a reliable, optics-ready concealed carry gun without having to send it off to a gunsmith. It’s a great fit for local shooters who carry daily, families looking for a home-defense handgun that’s easy for all adults to handle, and new gun owners who want a modern, user-friendly platform from the start.
Pros and Cons
Pros: Factory-mounted Holosun 507K saves time and money; compensated barrel makes recoil very manageable for a subcompact; War Poet slide cuts give you solid grip; 13-round capacity in a small package; reliable out of the box.
Cons: The compensator adds about half an inch to the barrel length, which may require a slightly taller holster or a specific holster cut. Also, the trigger pull is around 4.5 pounds — some shooters might prefer a lighter trigger, but it’s fine for defensive use.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Shadow Systems CR920P War Poet come with the Holosun 507K already mounted?
Yes. The pistol ships with the Holosun 507K factory-mounted and ready to shoot. It’s installed on the slide with the correct screws and thread locker applied.
What magazines does the CR920P War Poet use?
It comes with one 13-round magazine and one 10-round magazine. Both are compatible with the CR920 platform. The 13-rounder gives you a full grip, while the 10-rounder is flush-fit for deeper concealment.
Can I use standard Glock 43/43X holsters with this pistol?
Not directly. The CR920P has a slightly different slide profile and the compensator adds length, so you’ll need a holster specifically molded for the Shadow Systems CR920 or CR920P. Many holster makers now offer them.
Is this pistol suitable for a new shooter?
Yes. The compensated barrel reduces recoil, the flat trigger makes it easier to shoot accurately, and the red dot helps with sight alignment. It’s a very forgiving gun for someone learning defensive shooting.
