- Full-length Picatinny optics rail — Mount a red dot, holographic, or magnified optic without adapters, so you can get on target fast with both eyes open.
- Free-float M-LOK handguard — Attach grips, lights, or lasers directly to the handguard without affecting barrel harmonics, improving accuracy potential.
- Ruger Secure Action fire-control system — A pre-cocked, internal hammer system with a manual safety and visual inspection port, giving you a crisp trigger pull and an extra layer of safety.
- Multiple QD sling sockets — Switch from a two-point sling to a single-point setup in seconds, making this pistol easy to carry or stabilize during shooting.
Who It's For
The Ruger LC Charger 5.7x28mm is built for shooters who want a lightweight, low-recoil pistol that can pull double duty as a truck gun, range toy, or home-defense tool. It's also a solid pick for new shooters who want to step up from .22 LR without jumping to 9mm recoil. If you like the idea of a carbine-style platform but want to keep it in a pistol format (and avoid NFA paperwork), this fits the bill.
Pros & Cons
- Pro: Flat-shooting 5.7x28mm ammo means you can make hits at 100 yards with minimal holdover.
- Pro: The M-LOK handguard and full-length rail give you tons of mounting options for lights, lasers, and optics.
- Con: 5.7x28mm ammo is still pricier than 9mm or .22 LR, so it's not the cheapest round to train with regularly.
- Con: The included 20-round magazine is a good start, but you'll likely want a couple extra for range days.

If you want a pistol that shoots flatter than 9mm and comes ready for optics and suppressors right out of the box, the Ruger LC Charger is the clear winner in value. The Zev OZ9 and Agency Arms Glocks are fantastic guns, but they're built for different jobs and cost a lot more.
