About this product
The Rock Island Armory XT 22 Magnum Target 22 WMR 5-inch is a 1911-style single-action semi-auto pistol built for precision range work. It chambers .22 Winchester Magnum, delivers tight groups with a pinned 5-inch barrel, and pairs traditional ergonomics with target-grade features. Parked steel frame, G10 grips, and an extended beavertail keep you on target shot after shot. This is a dedicated range tool, not a plinker—it rewards a steady hand.

Who It's For

FAQ
What is the barrel length on the Rock Island XT 22 Magnum?
It has a pinned 5-inch barrel, which helps with accuracy and consistency during target shooting.
Does the XT 22 Magnum use standard 1911 parts?
Most controls (safety, slide release, grip safety) follow 1911 geometry, but the barrel and extractor are specific to the .22 WMR chambering. Per Rock Island Armory specs, the slide is steel and uses a fixed barrel design.
What type of finish does this pistol have?
The frame and slide have a parkerized finish, which provides corrosion resistance and a low-glare matte appearance.
Is the Rock Island XT 22 Magnum good for beginners?
Yes—the .22 WMR gives more punch than .22 LR but less recoil than 9mm, making it a good step-up for new shooters. The 1911 platform also teaches manual safety discipline.
