Key Features
- 5-inch Ported Barrel & Slide – The integrated porting reduces muzzle rise and felt recoil, letting you stay on target for faster follow-up shots. Why it matters: Less time re-acquiring sights means more hits on target, especially during high-speed drills or defensive scenarios.
- Enhanced Pro Trigger – A crisp, single-action trigger with a short reset that improves accuracy and shot-to-shot consistency. Why it matters: You get a predictable break every time, which translates to tighter groups and more confident shooting under pressure.
- Optic-Ready Cut & Contoured Slide – The slide is machined to accept multiple red-dot footprints, and the kit includes mounting plates for popular optics. Why it matters: No gunsmith needed—swap between irons and dots as your setup evolves.
- Complete Kit with Accessories – Comes with three magazines, suppressor-height night sights, optic plates, and a range bag. Why it matters: You get everything you need to start training or carrying right out of the box, saving time and extra purchases.
- 7075 Aluminum Frame – Lightweight yet durable, this frame keeps the pistol balanced and corrosion-resistant. Why it matters: You get a duty-grade platform that holds up to daily carry and extended range sessions without weighing you down.
Who It's For
This kit is built for the shooter who runs their pistol hard—duty carriers, competition shooters, and EDC enthusiasts who want a reliable, fast-handling 9mm. If you're logging high round counts and need a gun that keeps up with your training pace, the 2311 Pro delivers. It's also a solid choice for anyone stepping up from a compact to a full-size platform for better control and sight radius.
Pros & Cons
- Pro: Ported barrel noticeably reduces muzzle climb, making split-second follow-up shots feel effortless.
- Pro: Kit includes multiple magazines and optic plates—no need to hunt down extras.
- Pro: The Pro trigger is clean and consistent, with a short reset that aids rapid fire.
- Con: Ported barrels can be louder and produce more muzzle flash in low-light conditions compared to non-ported options. This is a trade-off for the recoil reduction.

FAQ
What optics are compatible with the OA Defense 2311 Pro?
The slide is cut for RMR, DPP, and similar footprint optics. The kit includes mounting plates for several common patterns, so you can mount most popular red dots without extra adapter costs.
Does the ported barrel affect reliability with different ammo types?
Per OA Defense specs, the porting is designed for standard-pressure and +P 9mm loads. It cycles reliably with most factory ammunition, though extremely light loads may not cycle as consistently. Stick to quality defensive or range ammo for best performance.
Can I use this pistol for concealed carry?
At 5 inches with a full-size frame, it's better suited for open carry, duty use, or range work. It's doable for concealed carry with the right holster and clothing, but most EDC shooters prefer a compact or subcompact for daily concealment.
What's included in the kit?
The kit ships with three 17-round magazines, suppressor-height night sights, multiple optic mounting plates, a cleaning kit, and a padded range bag. Everything you need to start shooting is in the box.
