Key Features
- Aggressive Grip Texturing & Interchangeable Thumb Ledges – Why it matters: You get a locked-in hold even with sweaty hands or gloves, and you can tune the thumb rest to your shooting style for faster follow-up shots.
- Blistering-Fast Cycle Time – Why it matters: The optimized slide-to-frame fit and recoil system let you rip through strings of fire without the muzzle climbing, keeping you on target shot after shot.
- Full-Metal 7075 Aluminum Grip Module – Why it matters: This grip is light enough for all-day carry but tough enough to handle thousands of rounds without flexing or cracking.
- Precision CNC Machining by Combat Veterans & Competition Shooters – Why it matters: The people who designed this know what works in a fight or on a timer, so you get a pistol that runs when it counts.
- 5″ Barrel for Maximum Velocity – Why it matters: The longer barrel gives you a velocity boost over compact 2011s, which means better terminal performance and flatter trajectory at distance.
Who It's For
The OA 2311 Pro Elite is built for three types of shooters: duty officers who need a reliable sidearm that can take abuse, competition shooters who want a fast-cycling 9mm for USPA or IDPA, and enthusiasts who appreciate a well-made 2011-style pistol for high-round-count range days. If you shoot more than 500 rounds a month and want a gun that keeps up with you, this is your match.
Pros & Cons
- Pro: The grip texture is aggressive but not abrasive – it bites into your palm without chewing up your hands after 200 rounds.
- Pro: The trigger breaks clean at around 4 lbs with minimal take-up, making it easy to shoot accurately at speed.
- Con: The 5″ barrel and full-metal construction make it heavier than polymer-framed 9mm pistols (32 oz empty), so it may not be ideal for concealed carry unless you dress around it.
- Con: Magazines are proprietary and cost more than standard Glock or P320 mags – plan to buy a few extras upfront.

FAQ
What magazines does the OA 2311 Pro Elite use?
It uses proprietary 17-round steel magazines from OA Defense. They are double-stack, single-feed, and similar in design to 2011-style mags. You can buy extras directly from OA Defense or through select retailers.
Is this pistol optics-ready?
Yes, the slide is pre-milled for an RMR footprint. You can mount most popular red dots like the Trijicon RMR Type 2, Holosun 507C, or Leupold DeltaPoint Pro without an adapter plate.
Can I use this for concealed carry?
It's possible with the right holster and clothing, but the 5″ barrel and 32 oz weight make it better suited for duty, competition, or range use. If you want a compact version, check out the OA 2311 Compact model.
What holsters fit the OA 2311 Pro Elite?
Because the grip module has an integrated thumb ledge, you'll need a holster molded specifically for the OA 2311. Brands like Safariland and Tier 1 Concealed offer options. Avoid generic 2011 holsters unless they are open-ended and adjustable.
