Who It’s For
This is for the EDC enthusiast who wants a 1911 that’s as much a piece of gear as it is a statement. It’s for the shooter who carries daily, values traditional ergonomics, and doesn’t mind a little flash. If you’re building a pocket dump around a reliable .45 that’s a joy to shoot and show off, this is your pick.
Pros and Cons
- Pros: Lightweight aluminum frame, stunning Rose Gold finish, G10 grips for grip confidence, compact enough for IWB carry, proven 1911 reliability.
- Cons: The 3-inch barrel means a slightly shorter sight radius and less velocity than a full-size 1911; you’ll want to practice with it to stay sharp.

FAQ
What is the barrel length on the Kimber Rose Gold Ultra II?
The barrel is 3 inches, stainless steel, designed for compact carry and reliable .45 ACP performance.
Does this pistol come with night sights?
It ships with fixed sights that are night-capable, meaning they can accept tritium inserts, but they are not pre-installed. You’ll need to upgrade if you want glow-in-the-dark.
Is the Kimber Rose Gold Ultra II good for concealed carry?
Yes, with a 3-inch barrel and lightweight aluminum frame (25 oz), it’s purpose-built for IWB or pocket carry. The G10 grips keep it secure against the body.
What magazines does it use?
It ships with one 1911-style magazine in .45 ACP, 7-round capacity. Standard 1911 magazines will work, though you’ll want flush-fit for the compact frame.
How does the Rose Gold finish hold up over time?
Per Kimber specs, the Rose Gold PVD coating is wear-resistant and holds up well to daily carry and cleaning. It’s not as tough as DLC, but with proper care, it’ll look great for years.
