About this product
The Kimber Custom LW Shadow Ghost 1911 .45 ACP 5-inch Bundle delivers a full-size range and practical shooting pistol that shaves weight without sacrificing the 1911 platform’s stability. The aluminum frame and 5-inch barrel give you a manageable carry weight for a full-size gun while maintaining a sight radius that helps you stay on target. This bundle includes three magazines, an MFT holster, and a Kimber range bag — everything you need to hit the range or the holster right out of the box.

Key Features
- Aluminum frame — Why it matters: Drops carry weight to 28.5 oz, making this full-size 1911 easier to tote all day without the fatigue of a steel frame.
- Red fiber-optic front sight with white-dot rear — Why it matters: The fiber-optic front grabs light for fast pick-up during drills, while the white-dot rear gives a clean sight picture for precise shot placement.
- Loaded chamber indicator and magazine disconnect — Why it matters: Adds a layer of mechanical safety for range use and storage, giving you visual and physical confirmation of chamber status.
- Bundle includes three magazines, MFT holster, and Kimber range bag — Why it matters: Saves you $100+ on extras — you get spare mags for competition or training, a holster for carry or storage, and a bag to haul everything.
Who It’s For
This bundle is built for the shooter who wants a full-size 1911 in .45 ACP that pulls double duty on the range and as a carry option. It’s ideal for practical shooting competitors who need three mags and a holster right away, and for 1911 fans who appreciate a lighter frame without losing the classic 5-inch barrel and sight radius. If you’re looking for a do-it-all 1911 that won’t break the bank, this is your setup.
Pros and Cons
- Pro: Lightweight aluminum frame makes carry feasible for a full-size .45.
- Pro: Fiber-optic front sight speeds up target acquisition in bright conditions.
- Pro: Bundle includes three magazines, holster, and bag — ready out of the box.
- Con: Aluminum frame may show holster wear faster than steel; some shooters prefer the recoil absorption of a heavier steel frame.

FAQ
Is the Kimber Custom LW Shadow Ghost compatible with standard 1911 holsters?
Yes — it fits most full-size 1911 holsters designed for a 5-inch barrel and standard slide profile. The MFT holster included in the bundle is a solid starter option.Does the magazine disconnect affect reliability?
No — the disconnect is a mechanical safety feature that prevents firing without a magazine inserted. It does not affect feeding or ejection when a magazine is seated. Can I use this pistol for concealed carry?
Yes, thanks to the 28.5 oz aluminum frame, but it’s a full-size 1911 with a 5-inch barrel. It works best for OWB or shoulder carry — consider a compact model for deep concealment. What type of ammunition does this pistol prefer?
It cycles reliably with standard .45 ACP 230-grain ball ammo. Some shooters report better performance with jacketed hollow points after a break-in period of 200–300 rounds.Last updated: April 2026
