Key Features
- Optic-Ready Slide — The slide is cut for popular red-dot sights, so you can mount your preferred optic without sending it off to a machinist. This keeps the gun running right out of the box.
- Double-Stack 20+1 Capacity — You get three magazines: one 17-round and two 20-round mags. That’s 41 rounds total on your belt before you need a reload.
- GT Match-Grade Trigger — The trigger breaks clean and crisp at a consistent pull weight, giving you better accuracy shot after shot.
- Stan Chen Customs Magwell — The tapered magwell helps guide magazines home during fast reloads, a feature you’ll appreciate under pressure.
- DLC and PVD Coating — The slide and barrel are coated for corrosion resistance, and the high-polish Coyote PVD barrel adds a touch of class while protecting the bore.
Who It’s For
This pistol is for the shooter who wants a 1911-style gun but needs more than 7 or 8 rounds. It’s a solid choice for competitive shooters in USPSA or IDPA, for home defense, and for anyone who appreciates a finely tuned 1911 trigger in a modern package. New gun owners who are comfortable with a manual safety and want a reliable, high-capacity 9mm will also feel at home with the 2K11.
Pros / Cons
- Pros: High capacity, excellent trigger, optic-ready, quality finish, reliable feeding with the external extractor.
- Cons: The aluminum grip module can feel slick in sweaty hands — you may want to add grip tape or stippling. It’s also a larger, heavier pistol for concealed carry.

Does the Kimber 2K11 come with a red dot sight?
No, it does not include a red dot. The slide is cut to accept popular optics (RMR, Holosun, etc.), so you can mount your own.
What magazines does the Kimber 2K11 use?
It ships with one 17-round magazine and two 20-round magazines. All are double-stack 9mm magazines designed for the 2K11.
Is the Kimber 2K11 good for concealed carry?
It’s a full-size 5-inch pistol, so it’s better suited for competition or home defense. For daily concealment, look at compact 1911s or smaller 9mm options.
Can I use standard 1911 holsters with the Kimber 2K11?
Most standard 1911 holsters will not fit due to the double-stack grip module and magwell. Look for holsters specifically made for the 2K11 or double-stack 1911s.
