- Paddle Magazine Release – Ambidextrous, intuitive release lets you drop mags without breaking your grip, a feature shooters who train on European platforms appreciate.
- Fluted Chamber – Reduces extraction force and keeps the action cycling smoothly even with hot or dirty ammo, extending maintenance intervals.
- 30+1 Round Capacity – Comes with a 30-round steel magazine, giving you plenty of firepower for range sessions or defensive use.
Who It’s For
This pistol is for collectors who want an authentic MP5 experience without the NFA paperwork, and for shooters who value precision machining from a trusted German manufacturer. It also fits enthusiasts who plan to suppress it—the tri-lug is ready to go out of the box.
Pros and Cons
- Pros: Authentic roller-delayed action; genuine HK quality; factory tri-lug; high magazine capacity; smooth, low-recoil shooting.
- Cons: The trigger is military-grade (not match-grade), so competition shooters may want to upgrade it. Also, the pistol-length barrel means you lose some velocity compared to a carbine-length MP5 clone.

FAQ
Does this SP5 come with a suppressor?
No, the SP5 does not include a suppressor. The threaded tri-lug barrel is designed to accept aftermarket suppressors, but you’ll need to purchase one separately and comply with NFA regulations.
Can I use standard MP5 magazines in this pistol?
Yes, the SP5 accepts standard MP5-pattern steel and polymer magazines. The included 30-round magazine is a direct copy of the MP5 design, so any compatible mag will work.
Is this pistol legal in all states?
The SP5 is a semiautomatic pistol and is legal in most states, but some states (e.g., California, New York) have restrictions on magazine capacity or pistol features. Check your local laws before ordering.
How does the roller-delayed blowback system affect recoil?
It significantly reduces felt recoil compared to a standard blowback pistol. The rollers delay the bolt opening until chamber pressure drops, giving you a softer, more controllable shooting experience.
