Key Features
- Threaded Barrel – Factory-threaded barrel lets you attach a suppressor or compensator quickly, making it ready for range fun or tactical setups right out of the box.
- Last-Round Lock-Open – Slide locks back after the last shot, so you know exactly when to reload. That’s a simple but huge advantage for training or defense.
- Magazine Disconnect Safety – Pistol won’t fire if the magazine is removed, giving you an extra layer of protection during handling or storage.
- Picatinny Accessory Rail – Mount a light or laser under the barrel without needing an adapter. This makes the JCP Gen 2 ready for low-light scenarios.
- Fully Adjustable Rear Sight – Windage and elevation adjustments let you dial in your point of aim with different ammo loads, so you’re not stuck with factory zero.

FAQ
Does the Hi-Point JCP Gen 2 .40 S&W come with extra magazines?
No, the pistol ships with one 10-round magazine only. Extra magazines are sold separately and can be found in our store or online.
Can I use +P ammunition in this pistol?
Hi-Point does not recommend using +P ammunition in the JCP Gen 2. Stick with standard-pressure .40 S&W loads for best reliability and to avoid excessive wear.

Yes, the barrel is threaded 1/2x28, which is the most common thread pitch for .40 S&W suppressors. Always verify your suppressor’s thread pattern before mounting.
How do I clean and maintain the Hi-Point JCP Gen 2?
Field strip the pistol by removing the slide, clean the barrel and action with solvent, then lightly lubricate all moving parts. Hi-Point recommends cleaning after every range session.
