- Serrated slide — Why it matters: Serrations give you a secure grip when racking the slide, even with sweaty or gloved hands.
- 8+1 round capacity — Why it matters: Eight rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber gives you nine shots on tap for self-defense or range sessions.
- Extra rear peep sights and trigger lock included — Why it matters: You get backup sight options right out of the box, plus a lock for safe storage — no extra trips to the shop.

FAQ
Is the Hi-Point 916FDE C9 reliable for self-defense?
Yes. Hi-Point pistols are known for being tough and reliable. The C9 feeds most standard 9mm ammunition without issues. Just make sure to break it in with 100–200 rounds first, as the slide is heavier than average and requires a bit of muscle to cycle smoothly at first.
Does this pistol come with a magazine?
Yes, it includes one 8-round magazine. You can buy additional magazines separately from Hi-Point or aftermarket suppliers.
Is the Hi-Point C9 easy to disassemble for cleaning?
It is straightforward. You push out the takedown pin, slide the barrel out, and clean as usual. The design is simple and doesn’t require special tools. Keep the barrel and slide rails lightly oiled for best performance.
Can I mount a red dot or light on this pistol?
The C9 does not have an optics cut or a standard accessory rail. You can add a laser or light using a rail adapter, but it’s not as straightforward as on modern striker-fired pistols. This gun shines best with its factory iron sights.
