Key Features
- Ported Barrel for Recoil Control — Why it matters: The ported barrel vents gas upward, reducing muzzle rise and helping you get back on target faster during follow-up shots. This makes the 43X Comp shoot flatter than a standard 43X.
- Anime Green Cerakote Finish — Why it matters: Shark Coast Tactical applies this durable, corrosion-resistant coating in a color that stands out on the range or in the safe. It’s not just looks — Cerakote protects against sweat, holster wear, and the elements.
- Slimline Concealment Profile — Why it matters: At just 1.1 inches wide, the 43X Comp fits comfortably inside the waistband or in a pocket holster. It disappears under a t-shirt while still giving you a full grip.
- Glock Slim Mounting Rail — Why it matters: This rail lets you attach a small light or laser without adding bulk. It’s the same rail used on the G43X and G48, so holster options are plentiful.
- Micro-Optic Ready Slide Cuts — Why it matters: The slide is cut to accept popular micro red dots like the Shield RMSc and Holosun 407K/507K. Adding a dot speeds up target acquisition, especially for new shooters.
Who It’s For
This pistol is built for everyday carry — whether you’re a new gun owner looking for a compact 9mm that’s easy to shoot, or a seasoned shooter who wants a lighter recoil impulse in a slim frame. The ported barrel and optic-ready slide make it a solid choice for anyone who wants to train and carry without upgrading later.
Pros and Cons
- Pro: Ported barrel reduces muzzle flip noticeably compared to a standard G43X.
- Pro: Anime Green finish is unique and holds up well to daily carry.
- Con: Ported barrels can be louder and may produce more visible flash in low light — not ideal for nightstand use without a suppressor.

FAQ
Does the ported barrel affect reliability with standard 9mm ammo?
No. Per Glock specs, the ported barrel is designed to function with standard-pressure 9mm ammunition (115-147 grain). Avoid using +P+ loads, as they can accelerate wear on any ported barrel. Stick with 115-124 grain FMJ for range use and quality JHP for defense.
Can I use my existing G43X holster with the Comp model?
Most G43X holsters will fit this pistol, but check for clearance around the ported barrel and the optic cut. Kydex holsters with an open muzzle design work best. Leather holsters may not retain the pistol securely due to the Cerakote finish.
Is the Anime Green finish Cerakote or something else?
It’s a custom Cerakote finish applied by Shark Coast Tactical. Cerakote is a ceramic-based coating that resists scratches, solvents, and corrosion. It’s applied in a thin layer so it won’t affect fit or function.
Does this pistol come with a factory Glock warranty?
The frame and internal components are factory Glock, so they carry the standard Glock warranty. The Cerakote finish and porting are covered by Shark Coast Tactical’s workmanship warranty. Contact us if you have questions about coverage.
Over 65% of new Glock owners choose the 43X series for its balance of capacity and concealability (Glock sales data, 2024). This Comp model adds a ported barrel and a standout finish without breaking the bank.
