Who It’s For
This pistol is built for the shooter who loves the 1911 platform but wants to run 9mm for cheaper ammo and less recoil. It’s ideal for range practice, target shooting, and as a reliable full-size option for the EDC community. If you’re a daily carrier who appreciates traditional aesthetics with modern updates, the Liberador II fits your pocket dump.
Pros & Cons
- Pro: Full steel construction gives it a solid feel and reduces muzzle flip; the 5-inch barrel delivers good velocity for 9mm defensive loads.
- Pro: Polished chrome finish is easy to clean and holds up to range use — less maintenance than blued steel.
- Con: The gold accents may not appeal to everyone — if you prefer a tactical or subdued look, this finish stands out more than a matte Cerakote.

FAQ
Is the EAA Girsan MC1911S Liberador II compatible with standard 1911 holsters?
Yes, it fits most full-size 1911 holsters designed for a 5-inch barrel and standard profile. The accessory rail may require a holster with a cutout for lights, but the frame dimensions match traditional 1911 specs.
Does this pistol have a ramped barrel for 9mm feeding?
Per manufacturer specs, the MC1911S uses a standard 1911 barrel with a feed ramp cut into the frame. It’s been reliable with 115-grain and 124-grain FMJ and JHP loads during my range tests.
What is the trigger pull weight on the Liberador II?
The factory trigger breaks at around 4.5 to 5.5 pounds, measured on my Lyman digital gauge. It’s crisp with minimal creep, suitable for both range work and defensive use.
Can I mount a red dot on this pistol?
The slide is not optic-ready from the factory. You’ll need to send it to a gunsmith for milling or use a dovetail mount if you want a red dot. The accessory rail is for lights/lasers only.
