Key Features
- Optic-Ready Slide — Factory-milled to accept popular red dot footprints. Why it matters: no need to send the slide out for machining; you can mount a dot in minutes for faster target acquisition in any shooting scenario.
- Full-Length Accessory Rail — Integrates with lights and lasers. Why it matters: if you carry this for home defense, you can attach a weapon light to PID threats without fumbling for a handheld.
- Extended Beavertail and Ambidextrous Safety — Promotes a high, comfortable grip and works for left- or right-handed shooters. Why it matters: reduces slide bite and makes the 1911 more controllable under rapid fire.
- Two-Tone Cerakote Finish — Tungsten slide, black frame. Why it matters: corrosion-resistant, low-glare, and gives the pistol a distinct look that stands out from plain black 1911s.
- Forged Steel Frame and Slide — Traditional 1911 construction. Why it matters: durability and recoil control that aluminum frames can't match, especially with a hot .38 Super load.
Who It's For
This is for the urban shooter who wants a full-size 1911 with modern upgrades. It's ideal for competitive shooters who need a flat-shooting caliber and optic compatibility. It also works for apartment dwellers who want a reliable home-defense pistol with a rail for a light. If you're a 1911 purist but need current features like an optic cut and ambi safety, this Girsan fits your lane.
Pros & Cons
- Pro: Slide is already cut for optics — saves you $100+ in machining costs.
- Pro: Full-length rail lets you mount a light without adapters.
- Pro: .38 Super offers less recoil and higher velocity than .45 ACP in a 1911 platform.
- Con: .38 Super ammo is less common than 9mm or .45 ACP — you'll likely need to buy online or stock up.
- Con: Trigger pull out of the box is serviceable but not match-grade; expect 4.5–5 lbs. Per Girsan specs, the trigger is adjustable but may need a gunsmith's touch for competition use.

Does the EAA Girsan Influencer X MC1911 S .38 Super come with magazines?
Yes, the pistol ships with two 9-round single-stack magazines. Per EAA's packaging, they are steel-bodied with a polymer basepad.
Can I use this for concealed carry?
Technically yes, but it's a full-size 5-inch 1911 weighing about 39 ounces. Most urban CCW holders prefer a compact or subcompact for daily carry. This is better suited for home defense, competition, or range use.
What optics fit the slide cut?
The slide is milled for the Shield RMS/RMSc footprint. Adapter plates are available for other patterns. Check with your optic manufacturer for compatibility.
Is .38 Super ammo hard to find?
It's less common than 9mm or .45 ACP, but major online retailers carry it. Expect to pay slightly more per round. According to industry data, .38 Super accounts for roughly 2% of centerfire pistol ammunition sales, so it's a niche but available caliber.
