Key Features
- 3D Laser Engraved Slide & Controls — Every panel on the slide, safety, and slide stop features deep-relief wildlife engraving, giving each gun a unique, gallery-grade appearance that stands out from standard 1911s.
- Handcrafted Burled Maple Grips — These grips are cut and finished by hand, offering a warm, organic texture and a custom look that synthetic grips can’t match. The wood’s natural grain varies per pistol, so yours is truly one of a kind.
- Limited Production: 1 of 300 — With only 300 units made, this is a collectible piece that holds value and rarity. Once they’re gone, they’re gone — no re-runs.
- Traditional 5-Inch Barrel & 7+1 Capacity — The full-size Government profile delivers proven reliability, soft recoil impulse, and compatibility with thousands of holsters and accessories on the market.
- Wildlife Sports South Exclusive — This specific variant was commissioned exclusively for Wildlife Sports South, adding a layer of provenance that serious collectors look for.
Who It’s For
This pistol is for the collector who wants more than a safe queen — it’s meant to be shot and admired. If you appreciate hand-fitted wood, laser artistry, and the classic .45 ACP platform with a twist, this is your gun. Range enthusiasts who want a conversation piece that also runs reliably will find it fits both roles.
Pros and Cons
- Pros: Gorgeous engraving that doesn’t compromise function; handcrafted wood grips add warmth; limited to 300 units, so strong collector appeal; full-size 1911 reliability.
- Cons: The burled maple grips are smooth — they can get slick with sweaty hands, so you may want to swap them for aggressive texture if you’re planning heavy range use. Also, the premium price reflects the rarity and handwork, not a tactical upgrade.

FAQ
Can I use standard 1911 holsters with this pistol?
Yes, the CNCWILDLIFE45 uses a standard 5-inch Government profile. Any holster designed for a full-size 1911 will fit. The engraving doesn’t add noticeable thickness.
Is the engraving durable for regular shooting?
The 3D laser engraving is applied to the stainless steel slide and controls, then finished with matte black oxide. It’s robust enough for range use, but the high-relief areas can collect dirt — clean with a soft brush.
How do I clean the burled maple grips?
Wipe with a dry microfiber cloth. Avoid solvents or oils — they can damage the wood finish. If they get greasy, a tiny drop of mild soap on a damp cloth works, then dry immediately.
What makes this a “Wildlife Sports South Exclusive”?
This variant was commissioned by Wildlife Sports South as a limited run of 300 units. The rollmark on the slide indicates their exclusive partnership — a detail collectors look for.
