Key Features
- Radial Delayed Blowback System — Why it matters: This system tames .45 ACP recoil by delaying bolt movement, letting you stay on target for faster follow-up shots. It also allows a lighter bolt and buffer than straight blowback designs, cutting overall weight.
- CMMG RipBrace — Why it matters: The integrated arm brace gives you a stable shooting platform without the NFA paperwork. It’s adjustable for length of pull and folds to keep the pistol compact for storage or transport.
- CMMG EML4 M-LOK Handguard — Why it matters: Full-length M-LOK slots let you mount lights, lasers, or grips exactly where you need them. No drilling or adapters — just attach and go.
- Glock-Pattern Magazine Compatibility — Why it matters: You can use your existing Glock 21 mags or pick up affordable aftermarket options. The included 13-round mag gives you capacity without sacrificing concealability.
- 5-Inch Barrel — Why it matters: The 5-inch barrel balances velocity and accuracy for urban distances — 25 to 50 yards — while keeping the overall length short enough for apartment or vehicle carry.
Who It's For
This pistol is built for city dwellers who want .45 ACP stopping power in a compact package. If you carry a Glock 21 or similar full-size .45 and need something smaller for concealed carry or home defense, the Banshee MKG fits. It’s also for shooters who prefer a brace over a traditional stock for one-handed operation or legal flexibility.
Pros and Cons
- Pro: Radial delayed blowback cuts felt recoil by about 30% compared to straight blowback .45s, per CMMG’s published data.
- Pro: Uses common Glock-pattern mags — no proprietary nonsense.
- Pro: RipBrace adjusts and folds for compact storage.
- Con: The 5-inch barrel and brace make it slightly longer than a typical subcompact .45, so deep concealment may require a larger holster or jacket.

Yes, the CMMG Banshee MKG .45 ACP is designed to accept Glock-pattern .45 ACP magazines, including Glock 21 and 30-series mags. It ships with one 13-round magazine.
Is the RipBrace adjustable for different arm lengths?
Yes, the CMMG RipBrace has multiple adjustment positions for length of pull, and it folds to the side for compact storage. You can set it to fit your shooting stance or storage needs.
Can I use this pistol for concealed carry in an urban environment?
Yes, the 5-inch barrel and compact overall length make it suitable for urban concealed carry, especially with a jacket or OWB holster. The brace adds stability without making it too large for apartment or vehicle storage.
