Key Features
- Optics-Ready Slide Cut — Why it matters: You can mount a red dot without sending the slide to a machine shop. The Shield RMS/RMSc footprint covers the most common micro dots, saving you time and money.
- Integrated Flared Magwell — Why it matters: Reloads under pressure are faster because the magwell guides the magazine home. This is a competitive-shooting feature on a duty-ready gun.
- Serrated Slide with Cerakote Finish — Why it matters: The aggressive serrations give you a solid grip under sweat or rain, and the Cerakote finish resists holster wear and corrosion better than blued steel.
- 1913 Picatinny Rail — Why it matters: You can attach a weapon light or laser for low-light shooting. The rail is standard MIL-STD-1913, so it works with most lights from Streamlight, SureFire, and others.
- 18-Round Magazine Capacity — Why it matters: You get 18+1 rounds of 9mm on tap. That's enough for a stage in competition or a full magazine in a defensive scenario without constant reloading.
Who It's For
This pistol is for the shooter who wants a reliable 9mm without paying a premium for features that used to be aftermarket-only. It works for competition shooters who need a flat-shooting gun with a red dot, for range enthusiasts who want a durable trainer, and for anyone who carries a full-size handgun for home defense or open carry. If you're looking at the Canik lineup and want the latest frame design with a flared magwell and optics cut, this one fits.
Pros/Cons
Pros: Optics-ready out of the box, excellent trigger for a striker-fired gun (clean break, short reset), integrated flared magwell, 18-round capacity, under $350.
Cons: The trigger pull is lighter than some defensive shooters prefer (around 5 lbs), and the grip texture can be aggressive for concealed carry under a thin shirt. Also, the slide cut only accepts RMS/RMSc footprint optics — if you want an RMR cut, you'll need an adapter plate or a different model.

FAQ
Does the Canik Mete SFT One come with a holster?
No, this model ships without a holster. You'll need to buy one separately. Holsters from Safariland, Blackhawk, and many others that fit the Canik TP9 SFx or Mete SF will also work, since the frame dimensions are similar.
Will this pistol accept a suppressor?
Not directly — the barrel is not threaded. If you want a suppressor-ready Canik, look at the Mete SFx with a threaded barrel or buy an aftermarket threaded barrel.
What optics fit the slide cut without an adapter?
The slide is cut for Shield RMS/RMSc footprint optics. That includes the Shield RMS, RMS2, RMSc, and Holosun 407K/507K. For RMR or DeltaPoint Pro footprints, you'll need an adapter plate.
Is this pistol California legal?
No, the Canik Mete SFT One is not on the California Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale. If you're outside California, check your local laws.
