About this product
The BLG Mauser MP40P .22LR 10″ SuperSet is a self-loading sport rifle that channels classic military lines into a modern, affordable .22 LR platform. With a folding metal stock, single-action trigger, and a 10-inch rifled barrel, it's built for economical target work, training, and range sessions. Chambered in .22 LR HV, this semi-automatic rifle gives you the look and feel of a historical design without the cost of centerfire ammo. Per BLG specs, the construction uses steel and die-cast zinc with plastic grip scales for field durability.

Key Features
- Folding Metal Shoulder Stock — Why it matters: collapses for compact storage or transport, then locks solid for stable shoulder firing, making it a versatile range companion.
- Single-Action Trigger — Why it matters: delivers a crisp, consistent break shot after shot, helping you tighten groups during training or plinking sessions.
- 10″ Rifled Barrel — Why it matters: provides enough sight radius for accurate aiming at typical .22 LR distances (25–50 yards), while keeping the overall package short enough for easy handling.
- Economical .22 LR HV Chambering — Why it matters: lets you run cheap, high-velocity rimfire ammo for hours of trigger time without burning a hole in your wallet—ideal for high-volume practice.
- Steel and Die-Cast Zinc Construction — Why it matters: gives the rifle a solid, weighty feel while resisting wear from regular field use; plastic grip scales add a secure hold in wet or cold conditions.
Who It’s For
This rig is for the EDC enthusiast who wants a fun, low-cost trainer that mimics a classic military profile. It’s also a solid pick for new shooters stepping into semi-autos, as the .22 LR recoil is mild and ammo is cheap. If you run a pocket dump with a 9mm carry gun, this makes a perfect range companion to sharpen fundamentals without breaking the bank.
Pros and Cons
- Pro: Folding stock makes it easy to stow in a range bag or truck.
- Pro: .22 LR ammo is widely available and inexpensive—great for plinking.
- Con: Die-cast zinc parts may not hold up to heavy abuse compared to all-steel builds; treat it as a recreational piece, not a duty weapon.
- Con: Limited aftermarket support due to niche design—stick with factory magazines and parts.

FAQ
Is the BLG Mauser MP40P legal to own in all states?
Federal law treats it as a rifle with a 10-inch barrel and folding stock—check your state and local laws regarding overall length and stock features. It ships as a Title I firearm, but some states (like CA, NY, MA) may have restrictions on folding stocks or barrel length. Verify with your local FFL before ordering.
What type of .22 LR ammunition does it require?
It’s chambered for .22 LR High Velocity (HV) rounds—standard velocity may not cycle reliably. Stick with brands like CCI Mini-Mag or Federal AutoMatch for best function. Per BLG specs, avoid subsonic loads.
Can I mount optics or accessories on this rifle?
The BLG Mauser MP40P does not come with a standard Picatinny rail—the receiver has a dovetail groove for a rear sight. You may need an adapter or gunsmith work to add a red dot. It’s best used with iron sights as designed.
Is the folding stock removable?
Yes, the stock folds to the side via a hinge mechanism, but it is not designed for quick detachment. Removing it entirely requires disassembly of the hinge pin—not intended for field stripping.
