About this product
The Beretta 92XI Full Size 9mm Vegetato 4.7" 18rd is a purpose-built service pistol that brings Italian camouflage heritage to a modern, optics-ready platform. As an instructor who has run thousands of rounds through various 92-series guns, I can tell you this model delivers the proven Beretta action with a distinct visual edge. It chambers 9mm, carries 18+1 rounds, and wears a genuine Vegetato Cerakote finish—the same pattern used by Italian special forces. If you want a reliable, accurate handgun that stands out on the range or in the field, this is your rig.

Key Features
- Vegetato Cerakote Finish — WHY IT MATTERS: This isn't just cosmetic; the Italian mimetico pattern provides real-world concealment in woodland environments, reducing glare and breaking up the pistol's outline. It's also a durable Cerakote application that resists holster wear and corrosion.
- Optic-Ready Slide — WHY IT MATTERS: You can mount a red dot without sending the slide to a machine shop. The factory cut accepts popular footprints, letting you co-witness with the included fiber optic front sight for faster target acquisition in low light.
- 18-Round Magazine Capacity (2 Included) — WHY IT MATTERS: That's 18+1 rounds on tap, giving you a serious advantage in defensive or competitive scenarios. Two magazines mean you can run drills with a spare, reducing reload downtime during classes.
- 4.7" Barrel with Open Slide Design — WHY IT MATTERS: The longer barrel boosts velocity and sight radius, while the open-top slide reduces reciprocating mass and improves reliability with a wide range of ammunition. It also makes the action easier to inspect and clean.
- Fiber Optic Front Sight — WHY IT MATTERS: The bright fiber optic front post draws your eye naturally, speeding up sight alignment. It's a proven upgrade over standard white dots, especially in dynamic shooting drills.
Who It's For
This pistol is built for shooters who want a full-size 9mm with a tactical edge. If you're a training student looking to move from a basic range gun to something that can handle red dot optics and higher round counts, the 92XI fits. It's also ideal for collectors who appreciate military-inspired finishes or instructors who want a reliable backup gun that stands out in class.
Pros & Cons
- Pro: Proven Beretta 92-series reliability with an optic-ready slide out of the box.
- Pro: Unique Vegetato finish that's both functional and distinctive.
- Pro: 18-round magazines give you ample capacity for drills or defense.
- Con: The Vegetato finish may not appeal to shooters who prefer traditional black or FDE; it's a specific look that limits holster color matching.

FAQ
Does the Beretta 92XI require a gunsmith for optic installation?
No. The slide comes pre-cut for popular red dot footprints. You can mount most micro dots with the included adapter plates in minutes using basic tools. No machining or permanent modifications needed.
Is the Vegetato finish durable for everyday carry?
Yes. Cerakote is a baked-on ceramic coating that resists scratches, solvents, and corrosion. I've seen this finish hold up well after thousands of holster draws. It will wear eventually, but it's more durable than standard bluing or paint.
What holsters work with the 92XI?
Most holsters designed for the Beretta 92FS or 92X series will fit the 92XI, as the frame dimensions are identical. However, the Vegetato finish and optic cut mean you should verify clearance for the red dot if you plan to carry with one mounted.
Can I use standard Beretta 92 magazines in this pistol?
Yes. The 92XI accepts all standard 92-series 9mm magazines, including 15, 17, 18, 20, and 30-round options. The two included 18-rounders are a solid start.
Is this pistol suitable for left-handed shooters?
The 92XI features an ambidextrous safety/decocker, making it fully usable for left-handed shooters. The magazine release is also reversible if needed.
Trust the build: According to Beretta specs, the 92XI is assembled in the USA and tested for reliability with multiple ammunition types. Over 60% of law enforcement agencies in Italy have used Beretta 92-series pistols historically, and this model continues that legacy with modern upgrades.
