Key Features
- Speedlock System — This delayed-blowback action reduces muzzle rise and felt recoil, letting you stay on target faster for accurate follow-up shots.
- Ergonomic Polymer Grip — The textured grip promotes consistent hand placement, so your grip stays the same shot after shot, improving control and accuracy.
- Fixed 3-Dot Sights — These give you a clear, simple sight picture right out of the box, no need to swap or adjust for basic range work or home defense.
- 5-Inch Barrel — The longer barrel helps boost velocity and sight radius, making it easier to shoot tight groups at the range.
- Two 10-Round Magazines — You get a spare mag right in the box, so you can load up and shoot longer without pausing to reload.
Who It's For
This pistol fits shooters who want a reliable, low-recoil 9mm for range practice, home defense, or competition training. It's a good match for newer gun owners who want a gun that's easy to shoot well, and for experienced shooters looking for something different from the usual striker-fired platform. The 10-round capacity also makes it compliant in states with magazine restrictions.
Pros & Cons
- Pro: Speedlock system noticeably reduces muzzle flip, making rapid fire more controllable.
- Pro: Simple, clean design with no manual safety to fumble with under stress.

FAQ
What is the barrel length of the American Precision Firearms Strike One 9mm?
The barrel is 5 inches long, which is longer than many compact 9mm pistols, giving you a bit more velocity and a longer sight radius for accuracy.
How many magazines come with the Strike One?
It ships with two 10-round magazines, so you have a spare right from the start.
Is the Strike One good for home defense?
Yes. The 9mm caliber is effective for self-defense, the 10-round capacity is adequate, and the Speedlock system helps you stay on target during rapid fire. Just be sure to pair it with quality defensive ammunition.
Does the Strike One have a manual safety?
No, it does not have a manual safety. It relies on a trigger safety and the internal firing pin block. This is common on many modern duty-style pistols.
Where can I find holsters for the Strike One?
Holster options are more limited than for Glock or Sig models. You may need to look at custom kydex holster makers or universal-fit options. Check with us for any that we stock or can order.
